Place Farm Academy Breakfast and Afterschool club is organised by a play leader and play workers, who are responsible to the Headteacher, Mrs Sendall.
Our aim is to provide high quality, stimulating and accessible childcare for all children of school age, in a safe and supportive environment. We aim to create an environment that fosters resilience and independence, helping the children to make positive choices about themselves and have a positive self- image.
Times: 7:30am-8:45am, with breakfast available (cereals, toast, jam and marmite fruit and drinks).
Times: 3:15pm-6:00pm, with snacks available (variety of fruit and salads, crackers, yoghurts, biscuits and breadsticks).
Children are welcome from EYFS to Year 6. We can accommodate up to 30 children per day, per session, during term time only.
A wide range of activities are available:
- Creative activities - Arts and craft, imaginative play, cooking, construction.
- Physical activity - Outdoor play (playground and field); indoor play (school hall).
- ICT laptops, iPads, Xbox (timed activities)
- A Homework club is also available.
Children are encouraged to contribute to the planning of the club; by sharing their ideas of what they would like to do and having the flexibility to be active, creative or to relax by reading a book or watching a DVD.
